OCR add-ons vs copy-paste

I’m seeing more of OCR add-ons lately, with people leaning on PowerToys Text Extractor and ABBYY instead of straight copy-paste. On invoice batches last week (82 PDFs), PowerToys + Notepad as a staging buffer shaved about 30 seconds per doc for me — what combos or settings are you using to keep errors down?

I’ve had better accuracy by zooming the PDF to about 150% before hitting PowerToys — fewer ‘O/0’ and ‘rn/m’ slips, and totals line up more often; if a table is selectable I still copy-paste that bit instead. @OP do you have a sweet-spot zoom?

Swapped Notepad for Notepad++ and recorded a single macro: trim/normalize whitespace and regex-replace O→0 only when between digits, then tab-align columns — on invoice batches it kept the “O/0” and “rn/m” errors near zero. In PowerToys I also switch the OCR language per batch (en-US vs de-DE) so decimal commas don’t get mangled; that saved me more than your 30s/doc on some sets. @jgraham83, curious if you’re pasting raw or running any cleanup, because the macro step is the difference for me.
