Dropdown chaos and the tiny sticky note fix

Seeing more of those long dropdowns that reshuffle as you type lately, and they keep handing me the wrong flavor of “completed” when I’m moving fast. I’ll be on my second coffee at 10:15 and realize I picked “complete” instead of “completed” in three records because the list jumped when autocomplete kicked in and nudged the focus up a line. I broke my personal no-sticky-notes rule and put a tiny one on the bezel with the exact three terms I need, and it helped. guardrail is I keep only one note and toss it before I log out. Not fancy, but my error check caught fewer mismatches after that, and it saved a couple edits and a small re-audit. If the list keeps jumping, give your eyes one clear prompt, then clear it off before the day ends.

Been burned by this too, autocomplete reshuffles mid-typing and I land on “Completed (old)”. My tiny sticky note fix is literally a note next to my keyboard that says “pause, arrow to exact item, then Enter,” and it’s cut my mis-tags by like 90%.

Same here — typeahead jumps and I end up tagging Completed (QA) instead of plain Completed. I’ve trained myself to hit Enter to commit before typing the next bit, and a tiny sticky that says Enter first on my monitor has cut the mis-tags way down.
